John was born in Belize City in 1977. His family moved to Canada when he was still a young boy. He became interested in drawing and art at a young age. In high school, John was introduced to better classes and a wonderful teacher, Marcel Debreuil. From there he found interest in sculpting and drawing but never paid much attention to painting.
In 2007, John found his love for painting. For the first year or two painting came very sporadically as he began working on style and skill development. He loves surrealism and impressionist styles as well as almost any form of art.
John currently uses both oil and acrylic paint as well as charcoal, pastel, watercolor and ink. He is also testing various forms of texture creation and manipulation. His subject matter is a mix of human emotion and spiritualism splashed with color and a hint of reality.
John has been involved in several shows with the W.A.C., as well as the Enchanted Forest Show over the last year. He has also participated in the Pembina Valley Artists Studio Tour in 2009 and the C.R.G.A.E. He hopes to continue advancing his art and involvement in the art community.
